Design Consulting

Design is a fundamental part of your business success

You can be lucky as a business and have one person with a design flair who kick starts your business growth with the creation of a key defining product.

Repeating and building on your success is what it is all about though.  I have often seen companies stay as one product businesses with 80% of profit coming from 20% of their product range.

The next level of success, real sustainable success, comes form a team approach to design of your products and services,  an approach to build on your existing success.

This team approach has the most potential with a collaboration of your best in-house expertise and relevant fresh external expertise.   We are talking maximum focus creativity here.

That’s the stride4 approach to to design consulting.  (And its also our approach for team coaching services too)  We use the Stride4 steps to set the targets, challenge realities, generate lots of ideas and develop them into winning ideas through early engagement.

Stride4 design projects are of two types…

Stride4 General design projects to assist customers in initially setting up their design projects for success with the best starting point target and design brief / specifications.   You, as the customer are then in a really strong position to maximise results in the subsequent development stages using in-house and external specialists in a multitude of different relevant fields required for example, mechanical, civil, electronic and web design.

Stride4 Detail design projects can be carried out from concept stage right through to production.  My particular areas of expertise are in:

  • Retail design… in particular sheet metal store fittings and equipment including supermarket checkouts and coffeeshops
  • Consumer product design… including plastic injection moulded products (I have designed a lot of products for the car accessories, gardening accessories, and anti-theft/security markets.
  • Mechanical  design…  including experience in marine radar design for example.
  • Design for manufacture…  If your products or equipment needs to be designed for manufacture, I can help you design for results…   Stride4it!
